Delegation group of Kenya Port Authority had an on-site study tour at Hakata Port International Container Terminal, on 4th of Nov.

The members are staying in Japan for a month to take a technical training of newly installing RTG in Mombasa Port.
And as a part of this training, they came to study the E-RTG adopting in Island City Container Terminal.

As we exchanged our views and ideas with many questions, it was a useful opportunity also for us to have discussions especially about the technology of aspect.

We would like to continue our relationship with Kenya Port Authority.

5 delegates from Myanmar Port Authority, part of the Ministry of Transport, have visited Hakata Port and had an on-site tour at the container terminal.

The members were related to the traffic and terminal management and also EDI of Yangon Port and they were very interested in the operation of Hakata and the port logistics IT system.

As Myanmar is going to introduce the customs system of Japan, so called NACCS, we would like to keep in touch and exchange information for both our ports future development.

We have gathered the result of LED Yard Illumination, introduced to the nations first operating container terminal, to verify the availability, reliability and its effectiveness to the cargo handling, the aspect of promoting the LED Yard Illumination and environmental loading reduction.

rain, we would like to keep our experiment to accumulate more
data.

Hakata Port Promotion Seminar was held in Palace Hotel Tokyo on 24th of Aug.
It became enthusiastic with over 700 guests from the Marin and Logistics industries.

The seminar started with the presentation of Mr. Takashima, the mayor of Fukuoka-city, and in the exchange meeting, we have publicized our approaches of the container terminal such as Eco, IT, and BCP to the many of the guests who stopped by to our booth.

We would like to express our gratefulness to the attendees to the seminar.

On 23th of July, We made a presentation of Hakata Port in the Logistics Committee of The Japan Textile Importers Association held in Osaka office.
We introduced the Fulfilling shipping route using the geographical advantage, Port functions which supports the speedy logistics and Advantages using Hakata Port as a promotion.
We would like positively continue to promoting our port in the future.

Mr. Koichi Daito, chosen as the new president in the 37th annual shareholders meeting and the board meeting on June 29th, made a commencement address in front of the company stuff members.

Under the new president and the board members, we would like to contribute to the further development of Hakata Port and the progress of port business by uniting our purpose.

19 delegates from JICA had an on-site tour at Hakata International Container Terminal, on 30th of June.

Due to the theme of this training was Port Development and Planning for port engineer, we welcomed port engineers from Asia, Middle and South America, Africa, etc. and had Q&A and opinion exchanges regarding not only port development, environment and challenges for natural disasters.

We would like to welcome many site visitors to Hakata not only domestically to deepen the relations globally.

Port Logistics IT System of Hakata Port so called HiTS started collaboration service with the IT System of Bangkok Port, on 23rd of June.

This new collaboration service is based on the MOU( Memorandum of Understanding) among the 3 parties, which is PAT(Port Authority of Thailand), Fukuoka-City and Hakata Port Terminal Co.,Ltd.

This collaboration has enhanced the cargo traceability, users of Hakata Port are able to obtain the real-time information of the containers shipped between the two ports through HiTS.

Although, we have been collaborating with terminals overseas since 2012 mainly with Chinese ports, this is the very first collaborating port with South East Asian Countries.

市his service is available for containers between Hakata and the terminal operated by PAT.

Mr. Wu Zhihua Deputy Division Chief of Waterway Transportation and other delegation members from Ministry of Transport, P.R.C visited Hakata Port Container Terminal on June 23rd.

During the tour, we had many questions regarding the customs clearance of container cargo’s, Ro-Ro business, rail cargo, etc. and had a good discussion about the environment and natural disaster approaches.
