Site Visit of Mr. Ejima 2015.12.25

Mr. Ejima, Parliamentary Secretary of MILT, had a site visit to Hakata Port International Container Terminal.

In the Q & A and free discussion, we discussed on many fields such as traffic, environment and logistics.
And during the site tour from the rooftop of Kashii Park Port Container Terminal, we showed the current situation of both Kashii and Island City Container Terminal and explained that we need to upgrade our terminal facilities.

We would like to keep our approaches to receive high evaluation as an attractive port, through safety and environmentally facility management.

Memorandum of Understanding Conclusion regarding IT collaboration with Ho Chi Minh Port 2015.12.16

Hakata Port is expanding oversea’s collaboration of Logistics IT System so called HiTS to enhance the port logistics service.

Currently, we are promoting the collaboration with South-East Asian Ports, where the container trading volume is sharply increasing with Hakata.

And we concluded MOU regarding the collaboration of Logistics IT System with Saigon New Port Corporation which is the national terminal operator in Vietnam on 26th of Nov.

By connecting the system between Ho Chi Minh and Hakata, it will realize a higher level logistics management for shippers and logistics firms.

Furthermore, we would like to discuss the future IT collaboration with Cai Mep Port and Hai Phong Port which is also operated by Saigon New Port Corporation.

Hakata Port Promotion Seminar in Hanoi 2015.12.15

Hakata Port Promotion Seminar was held in Inter Continental Hanoi Westlake on 27th of Nov, 2015.

The aim of this seminar is to obtain and promote the trading business of booming Vietnam economy and there were about 70 people such from shippers, Shipping Lines, Trading firms and Logistics firms attended this seminar.

In Part©f the seminar, we delivered presentations about Overview of Hakata Port and Utilization of the IT System HiTS.
We had a networking party in Part and exchanged many ideas with the attendees.

The features and actions regarding IT, Environment and BCP of Hakata was highly commended from the attendees.

We would like to actively conduct to promote Hakata and to dedicate all our strength to improve our service to the users.

We held a Hakata Port Orientation at Hotel Bientosu in Tosu City, Saga prefecture, targeting shippers and logistics companies in Tosu Area, on 4th of Dec.

At first, introduction of Hakata Port Summery andHakata Port Container Logistics Trial Substantiative Research Project which is an ongoing project this fiscal year was made by Mr. Shintou, Director of Logistics Promotion Section, of Port Bureau, Fukuoka City.

Followed by Hakata Port Logistics IT System HiTS that we introduced the convenient and useful function of HiTS.

We would like to keep organizing this kind of orientation in the hinterland of Hakata to promote the convenience of Hakata for the actual and the potential users.

JICA Security Training Program 2015.12.02

12 trainees from JICA came to Hakata Port on 2nd of Dec.

The theme of the training program is Port Security in ASEAN District and many port affiliates visited the site of Hakata Port International Container Terminal.

We introduced the deference of Port Security Card System implemented by MLIT and the container terminal entrance gate managed by our system.

Especially, the trainees were very interested in the trailer booking system using Hakata Port Logistics IT System so called HiTS.

Also in the site visit, we introduced our approaches of environment and BCP actions.

We made a presentation of our Logistics IT System HiTS in Shanghai, on 28th of Oct.

We received an invitation to attend the Annual Autumn Meeting of Port Equipment Manufacturers Association so called PEMA, to introduce the IT approach which solved the gate congestion of the container terminal in Hakata Port.

The annual meeting took place from Oct 26th to 29th .

PEMA was established in late 2004 by a group of leading equipment manufacturers serving the global port and terminal markets.
In this Autumn meeting, many members or guests were attending the meeting from Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, China and Japan.

Our presentation was also successful with many questions and complements from the participants.

We also would like to introduce our approaches in these kind of international events.

Site study tour from Koja Terminal of Indonesia 2015.10.28

Delegation from Koja Terminal of North Jakarta area, Indonesia had a study tour in Hakata Port.

This delegation members belonged to engineering field and because of Koja is very similar to Hakata in terms of terminal size, container handling volume, the number of container handling equipments, we had a meaning full discussion about terminal management system.

Furthermore, the members studied our environmental friendly actions such as E-RTG and Roof shade for reefer container yard with many interests, on-site.

We would like to continue our continue and develop our relationship with Koja Terminal.

Site visit of Fukuoka Trucking Association 2015.09.29

Delegate member of Fukuoka Trucking Association has visited Hakata Port, today.

They had great interest in the method of easing the traffic around the terminal by using logistics IT system and also the environmental approach of the cargo handling machineries.

It also was a meaningful time exchanging information with the member of inland transportation organization as one of the port operating company.

We are always welcome to have site visit guest to our facilities.

Mr. Nishiwaki, Land Infrastructure and Transport Deputy had visited Hakata Port Island City Container Terminal on 24th of September, 2015.

We have introduced the approaches of our BCP environmental actions by showing LED illumination, anti-vibration STS cranes, earthquake resistance berth, E-RTGs, reefer roof facility, etc,

We would strive to be regarded as an attractive port through a safety and an environmentally friendly concerned terminal operation.

Attended to the FBC Shanghai 2015 2015.09.10

We participated in an exhibition called FBC Shanghai 2015 which was held in Shanghai Mart, in 9th and 10th of September.

This exhibition is to have a business matching between the Japanese firms who are aiming to expand the business with local Japanese factories or Chinese makers.
We promoted the efficiency and safety, etc, of Hakata Port that has many shipping routes with Chinese ports.

During the exhibition, many visitors both from Japan or China has stopped by our booth and got ideas about the location or the Logistics IT System of Hakata.

We would like to give our appreciation to whom visited our booth.
